Weekend Events:
 - Historical re-enactor will portray gravestone carver Henry
     Sillcocks of New Brunswick, whose work is represented
     in the graveyard talking about the folk art of gravestone
     carving and pointing out motifs revealing changing beliefs
     about death and memorialization.

 - Gravestone tours featuring intact gravestones of twelve
     Revolutionary War soldiers and gravesite of Dr. William D.
     McKissack, a Capt. in the Revolutionary War and founder
     of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons/State
     of NJ

Driving directions:
Travel east on Main Street in Somerville to North Gaston Avenue. Turn left on Gaston and right on Union Avenue (28). Continue east through Bound Brook to East Street. Turn right and look for on-street parking at intersection of East High Street.

Old Presbyterian Graveyard

The Old Presbyterian Graveyard in Bound Brook is the final resting place of seventy Revolutionary War soldiers, three War of 1812 soldiers, one Mexican War soldier, four Civil War soldiers, one Loyalist and a longtime minister of the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church.

Come and learn about this hallowed ground! See the impressive artwork on memorial stones and learn the meaning behind the inscriptions and epitaphs which give a glimpse into the hearts and minds of the founding fathers of Bound Brook.
