Stephen Vail's Mill 

Although no photographs or discriptions of the Stephen Vail Mill exist, the mill would have been similar to the mill pictured here, which was in Ringoes, Hunterdon County, NJ. It was built about 1736 by William Dewliss. The image and plans are from the Historic American Buildings Survey from 1937.

The millstones from the Sephen Vail Mill were recovered from Green Brook by the Corps of Engineers in 1989. (Vail Millstones)
